Shots and Look Dev Scheduling/Resource Manager

The Shots & Look Dev Scheduling/Resource Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Production Manager with the oversight of Resource & Schedule strategy amongst the Shots & Look Dev departments.

Due to the Covid-19 border restrictions, we are currently looking for applicants living & able to work in New Zealand, or residing & legal to start work remotely in Australia, Canada, United States, United Kingdom and Europe and are interested in relocating to New Zealand to continue the role.

To be eligible you will need at least five years practical VFX production management experience and have demonstrable knowledge of scheduling tools, Excel and the VFX workflow.

Working with the Senior Production Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing resource plans and forecasting reports for Shots & Look Dev.
  • Providing show budget forecast reports of bidding and billing data, show progress and department resource profiles.
  • Gathering critical information on scheduling and resource planning and adapting future strategies accordingly.
  • Setting up Show/Realm kick offs and presenting the initial bidding snapshot for the realm.
  • Providing mid and post-mortem reports as needed.

You will support Department Managers by:

  • Forecasting for their departments.
  • Providing data visualisation & scenario planning for schedules and resources.
  • Bidding strategy across the Shots & Look Dev departments
  • Building strong relationships with Show Production, Central Production and adjacent departments.

You will support Realm Production Managers & Department Production Managers with:

  • Assisting in providing the resource documents to DMs, Show PMs and Producer.
  • Maintaining comprehensive bid documents and being across historical actuals for better future bidding.
  • Providing any bespoke reports requested on a specific show.
  • Providing training, support and guidance of the scheduling and bidding processes to new and existing production crew within the realm.
  • Working with the shotgun realm reps and Infosys to standardise shotgun processes and new feature requests across the realm; collaborating with Central Production on production tools development when required.

Having excellent communication, analytic and presentation skills will be critical to your success in this role. You’ll have excellent time management skills, an inquiring mind and strive to build and maintain strong relationships across departments.
