Facilities Manager - Vancouver

The Facilities Manager will oversee the workplace experience of the Vancouver Office, creating a positive workplace and site culture. You will be able to lead a small team, communicate effectively with all levels of management and stakeholders daily and maintain good relationships with all key stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities person keen to make the step up into a Management role. Our preferred candidate would have 3-5 years of key experience and a passionate interest in the realm of Facilities Management.

As the Facilities Manager you will be flexible in your approach and willing to adapt to meet the ever-changing needs of the business.

The role will involve:

• Overseeing the triaging and end-to-end management of all local job tickets relating to Facilities
• Supervising all contractors and/or sub-contractors (engaged directly or indirectly) working onsite
• Maintaining all physical security standards, card programming, reviewing CCTV and incident investigation
• Management/interaction/collaboration with landlords & other external stakeholders
• Conducting property inspections and reviews
• Maintaining all aspects of business compliance i.e., Health & Safety, local regulations, licensing, hazard registers, safety audits, electrical standards and First Aid practices
• Managing the arrival of crew, transfers & departures
• Managing the delivery of morale boosters, events and Friday Night Bites
• Managing local transportation systems, mail delivery and crew gear distribution processes
• Conducting financial analysis and strategy recommendations for existing vendors to address under-performance and compliance failures, including application of contract terms

On top of this, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to suggest improvements to processes and workflows and be open and responsive to questions and feedback, whilst maintaining objectivity.

To be eligible for consideration you must be legally able to work in Canada. Salary expectations for this position: $90,000 - $110,000 CAD.
