Senior Compositors

We are now accepting applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Compositors to join our talented team for a number of exciting projects with roles starting in Q1 2025.

Location: Our preference is for these roles to be based onsite at one of our hubs in Wellington, New Zealand, or Melbourne, Australia. However, remote options may be considered with show approval.

We take pride in having one of the most talented compositing teams in the world, made up of over 200 artists who utilize an exceptional 2D pipeline. With a strong emphasis on quality, our advanced tools enable us to deliver outstanding projects efficiently and effectively—no small accomplishment, particularly at the final stages of production!

In this role, you will combine multiple image layers, including photographic and computer-generated elements, into a cohesive image. You will ensure the seamless integration of all VFX elements with the live-action footage and maintain aesthetic uniformity throughout your shots, following feedback from the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong artistic sensibilities and the ability to interpret feedback effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems proactively.
• Strong shot management skills and a keen awareness of deadlines.
• A resilient and positive attitude, along with a proactive communication style.
• Proficient knowledge of Nuke’s Gizmos and Groups workflows.
• The capability to create tidy and efficient scripts.
• Ability to adapt, learn and apply new things to their work.
• A solid understanding of cinematography, photography, colour science, and compositing best practices.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a compositor in feature films.
